Frequently asked questions
Getting started
How does Cutis RX work?
Start by choosing the concern you'd like help with and completing a short online intake. A licensed dermatology provider reviews your answers and photos. Depending on your state and clinical needs, you may also need to complete a live audio or video consultation before a prescription can be approved. If a prescription is appropriate after all required steps, your personalized treatment is sent to our pharmacy and shipped to your door. You can manage messages and your plan anytime from your account.
Who is Cutis RX for?
Cutis RX is for adults seeking prescription dermatology care for concerns like acne, rosacea, pigmentation, skin texture and aging, and hair loss. Every treatment is reviewed by a licensed provider, and prescriptions are only issued when clinically appropriate.
Do I need an appointment or a video visit?
You can complete the online intake on your own time. Depending on your state and clinical needs, a live audio or video appointment may be required before a prescription can be approved. Your provider will let you know if you need to schedule one or provide additional information.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
You'll see the exact price of your recommended treatment before you check out—no surprises. Provider review is included when required, and there is no separate consultation fee. Most plans are billed as a subscription, and choosing the 90-day plan lowers your cost per month compared with monthly billing.
Is there a separate consultation or provider fee?
No. Provider review is included in your treatment cost when a prescription requires it. You only pay for your medication and shipping—there is no additional consultation fee.
What's the difference between the monthly and 90-day plans?
Both plans ship the same prescription treatment. The 90-day plan ships a larger supply less often and costs less per month, which is why most patients choose it. The monthly plan offers a lower upfront commitment. You can change cadence or cancel anytime from your account.
Treatment & plans
Can I cancel or change my plan?
Yes. You can cancel or adjust your plan at any time from your account—there are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees.
What if a prescription isn't right for me?
If a provider determines a prescription isn't appropriate, you won't be charged for the medication. The provider may suggest a safer alternative or recommend in-person care. Your safety always comes first.
How is my treatment shipped?
Approved prescriptions are filled by our partner pharmacy and shipped discreetly to your address. You'll receive tracking details, and shipping is included with your plan.
Safety
Is Cutis RX a substitute for emergency or in-person care?
No. Cutis RX is not for medical emergencies. If you have a spreading infection, fever, a rapidly worsening condition, or any symptom that feels urgent, contact your doctor or seek in-person care. If you think you may be having an emergency, call 911.
Is my information private?
Yes. Your information is handled in line with applicable privacy regulations and is only shared with the licensed providers and pharmacy involved in your care.
